Description
Sonoran Gold Turquoise Chip Necklace measures 17 inches with a liquid silver chain and clasp. 5 x 6 turquoise chips with silver spacers. Genuine Native American craftwork.
Mined in Sonora, Mexico, located in the Campitos Mountain, 35 miles from the Arizona border. The local economy relies heavily on copper mines in the area and this turquoise is a by-product of these mines. Unlike most turquoise, Sonoran Gold is not mined in veins but rather as individual nuggets found in clay deposits which gives it its uniqueness.
This necklace matches the bracelet listed separately with the same brilliant blue turquoise.
