Our High Quality Opoponax Resin (or sweet myrrh) is not treated by heat and is in its natural state. 150g. The color of its resin is brown. Opoponax has been a component of incense and perfumes since Biblical times. Opoponax resin was an ingredient in the original Shalimar perfume created by Jacques Guerlain in 1921. Use the resin on its own as incense, but it also blends well with other herbs and resins. The resin can be turned into tincture or powdered to add to lotions, creams, balms and soaps for the skin. It has an earthy-sweet, balsam-like, lavender-like fragrance when used as incense.
