Coloured Zuni Bear Necklace or Earrings Sterling Silver. The Necklace features the bear and silver feather, 4 coloured tubes either side at bottom of liquid silver chain which is approximately 44cms, length top to bottom of feather is approximately 27cms, bear 1.5 x 1cms. Sterling Silver. Liquid silver is a term used to describe a type of sterling silver chain made from tiny tubes of silver strung together. The earrings have sterling silver hook fitting. They measure approximately 1.5 x 1cms. Top of bear to bottom of feather measures approximately 3cms. These wonderful bear pieces are not made by the Navajo but are inspired by the Native American lores and legends. The coloured design is referred to as Aztec.

Regularly featured in mythology, the bear is largely a solitary animal. In terms of Native American belief, the bear is a symbol of ‘going within’ and the sweetness of life.
