Chamomile’s mildly sedating and muscle-relaxing effects may help those who suffer from insomnia to fall asleep more easily
- Treats diverticular disease, irritable bowel problems and various gastrointestinal complaints
- Chamomile’s reported anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic actions relax the smooth muscles lining the stomach and intestine. The herb may therefore help to relieve nausea, heartburn, and stress-related flatulence

To make the tea use 2-3 teaspoons of dried chamomile per 1 cup of boiling water. Steep for 2-5 minutes. If you like it sweetened use a teaspoon of honey, and a slice of lemon goes well with it too. To make it even more efficient in helping you to sleep, why not add valerian root and linden flowers.
